I'm having a feel good day. Not to sound gooey and all but the Love that is floating around the net at the moment is so inspiring that I can't help but feel my heart lighting. I'm not one with pretty words but sometimes the simplest things say the most. Today I trawled through the city with my little sister looking in shops and posting anonymous post its. Post its? you might say. After stumbling upon Operation Beautiful [link] I couldn't help but join in. The sheer number of people who convince themselves they are ugly and unlovable by simply ‘fat talking’ themselves is alarming. Make someone feel loved and leave an anonymous note. Something simple like “Smile beautiful lady” or “You never know who could be falling in love with your smile” can brighten someone’s day. You might not think they mean much, but they could mean the world to someone else. Personally we stuck ours in books, on shop front windows and on bathroom mirrors. I like to think we made at least one persons day.

Tomorrow I will wear To Write Love On Her Arms on...well...my arms. Well actually I’m already wearing it now but that’s something else entirely. Let’s see how well sharpies come off skin. DA has already promoted this National Day and here’s the journal article [link] It’s a day dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. Tomorrow’s it’s National Day but it is actually a year round movement. Even if you do nothing else check out its website [link] There is a beautifully written story on how the whole movement came about and it’s eye opening.
The beautiful who has been my friend on DA for a while is someone very close to this cause. I’d never realised just how close she was until today when she honoured us all by sharing her story in her journal [link] Her story is a sad but beautiful one. Unfortunately she and her boyfriend have hit hard times and are seeking donations and/or commissions to help out. Even if you can’t help give her your love, God knows she deserves it.

Okay I know, I know I don’t usually do long journals, or really any at all but while I’m still filled with all these warm and fuzzies I like to extend the feeling. My lovely, and frankly I’m still baffled that I have any, watchers deserve some love too. So I’m asking anyone who’s managed to make it this far through this never-ending journal to send me a thumb or link to their favourite piece of their own. I don’t care what medium or subject, though I’d love to see anyone’s OCs. I’ll even feature the first six. Keep in mind since I don’t have a premium account it’ll be in links. If you’ve managed to make it this far, WELL DONE, I’m done now you can rest your eyes now.
